ENV, the talented R&B three-piece girl group hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, have graced us with their latest single, “GOOD TIME”. This feelgood track arrives just in time for the summer, bringing back the nostalgic vibes of late ’90s and early ‘00s R&B. With “GOOD TIME”, ENV travel back to the golden era of the genre, channeling the essence of renowned songwriting and production duo Kandi Burruss and Kevin “She’kspere” Briggs, known for their work with Destiny’s Child, TLC and P!nk. “GOOD TIME” also maintains a perfect balance between nostalgia and modernity, appealing to both longtime R&B enthusiasts and new listeners.

From the moment the song begins, it’s clear that ENV have carefully crafted a piece that radiates positive energy and uplifts spirits. The infectious melodies and groovy beats instantly transport you to a carefree summer soirée. “GOOD TIME” showcases the group’s ability to capture the essence of a joyous moment and encapsulate it within a three-minute musical experience.

The chorus lyrics, “Don’t kill my vibe / I just wanna have a good time”, perfectly summarise the message of the song, which is delivered by ENV’s powerful vocals as they blend harmoniously and complement each other’s unique timbres. Their chemistry is evident, reflecting a deep musical connection that shines throughout the track.

One of the strengths of “GOOD TIME” lies in its ability to create an atmosphere that transcends time and place. The track’s feelgood nature allows listeners to escape into a world of happiness. And ENV’s confidence and infectious energy make it nearly impossible to resist tapping your feet or bobbing your head along to the rhythm.

As a rising girl group, ENV showcase immense potential with “GOOD TIME”. The song exhibits their artistry and vocal prowess, and they prove that they have a firm grasp on the foundation of the music they pay homage to while injecting their own personality into the mix. ENV’s star is undoubtedly on the rise, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next.
