Yeshi, whose name means “a thousand” in Amharic, grew up surrounded by a rich tapestry of sounds. Her Ethiopian roots introduced her to the soulful rhythms of East African music, while her life in the UK exposed her to a diverse array of genres. This diverse musical environment has been instrumental in shaping her unique style. Her sound is characterised by rhythmic diversity, lyrical depth and an effortless ability to cross genre boundaries.
“I Remember The Night” is inspired by a serendipitous encounter Yeshi had on a night out. Speaking about the new single, Yeshi says, “I created the track after I was inspired from meeting someone on a night out at a club event. The song is about how we met, how we had an instant attraction and the turn of the events or story of what happened between us after only meeting once.”

She is currently working on her first EP, a project that promises to further explore her Ethiopian and British influences while solidifying her unique sound.
