HOGTRUCKER, the Las Vegas-based dance-pop sensation, has unveiled his new album, HOGTIED. Known for crafting songs that ignite dark club floors and fuel late-night drives, HOGTRUCKER’s latest project is a vibrant exploration of diverse dance music genres, cementing his place as a formidable force in the music scene.
Originally playing shows in the legendary Western Massachusetts Pioneer Valley scene, HOGTRUCKER relocated to Las Vegas in 2017. The journey began with the release of the lo-fi house-pop track “House Show”, which seamlessly blended pop-punk vocals, infectious beats and dark, driving synths. Following the success of his 2021 album, Diskogoth, HOGTRUCKER ventured to New York to experiment with new sounds and hone DJing skills before returning to Las Vegas in 2023.
HOGTIED is a testament to HOGTRUCKER’s evolution, combining the influences from his time in New York with the distinctive sounds developed in Las Vegas. The album features eight tracks that traverse genres from garage and drum and bass to house, techno and EDM, all woven together with HOGTRUCKER’s signature darkwave pop style. The album’s focus track, “Bumpin’”, is a high-energy house-pop anthem crafted in collaboration with co-producer Sevenths. “We were so inspired to make the craziest little party track we could for this summer”, says HOGTRUCKER.
Speaking about the album, HOGTRUCKER shares, “HOGTIED is an eight-song album exploring all sorts of genres of dance music. It’s kind of a sound summary of my journey – from being involved with club nights in Vegas, to learning to DJ in New York and returning to Vegas as a booked and busy DJ. Thematically, it’s about all the situations that I’m so forcibly tied to, which are actually all the best things for me – my partner, my friends, my favourite city that I couldn’t stay away from even after moving to New York. These are all the things that have me hogtied.”
HOGTIED is out now on all platforms.
