Belgian artist Kristo continues to carve out his own lane between pop, funk and R&B with his new single, “Spinning Around”, a track that feels as reflective as it is rhythmically inviting. Built on tight guitar grooves and sleek modern production, the song balances polish with genuine musicianship. It is the kind of track that works effortlessly on a dancefloor, yet still rewards a closer listen through headphones. Kristo’s vocal performance is a standout, carrying both control and vulnerability as he navigates the song’s emotional core.

Lyrically, “Spinning Around” explores the tension between self-doubt and the desire for freedom. Lines like “I’m living in rewind” and “There’s life in this broken shell” capture the restless loop of overthinking and self-reflection, while the repeated mantra of wanting “To be free” gives the song its emotional release. Kristo writes with an honesty that feels unforced, allowing the repetition in the chorus to mirror the feeling of being stuck in one’s own head. It is introspective without becoming heavy, thanks to the buoyant melodic choices and infectious hook.

What makes “Spinning Around” especially effective is how seamlessly it blends feeling with groove. The funk-influenced guitar lines keep the track moving forward, even as the lyrics linger on moments of uncertainty and isolation. Kristo proves he understands the power of contrast, pairing emotional weight with pop sensibilities to create something memorable and relatable. “Spinning Around” is a confident step forward and a strong example of Kristo’s ability to turn personal reflection into music that leaves a lasting impression.
